I’m happy it resonated with you. I tell myself this all the time. Especially when I’m feeling like I wanna throw the whole thing away lol. Thanks for reading my post!
I've never approached revision like this before, and I love it. I love that it isn't at a frenetic pace, the mulling and journaling so your bossy conscious mind lets your unconscious mind, the dreamer and creator, speak. I didn't participate in Novel November. I was already too busy, but then my husband passed away in the middle of the month and I've been completely overwhelmed and scatter-brained since then. Writing and revision have to wait. But when I get to is, this method is what I want to use.
I’m happy my method of revision feels good to you. I think my Virgo moon has a lot to do with the way I think about revising. It needs to grounded and methodical. Otherwise it’s like chaos for me.
I’m deeply sorry for your loss. More so if it was unexpected because you didn’t have time to process or begin to make peace with it. Take time to heal and leave your writing alone. It will wait for you. I haven’t experienced this type of grief - the loss of a life partner. But during other times, my journals were my lifeline.

Also I love avatar so this strategy has been intrigued
